NotiTools Privacy Policy

NotiTools ("the app", "we") is a reminders app for Android (and later iOS) with a few practical everyday tools (QR, converter, Zakat & gold, water, habits, car care and ZIP). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: we do not collect, store on any server, sell or share your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.

1. Summary No account or sign-up is required. No advertising, and no analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs. We do not operate any server that receives your data. All app data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded by the app. The app only connects to the internet to download public currency exchange rates and gold/silver prices. 2. Data stored on your device

The app saves the information you create (for example reminders, categories, alert settings, habits, water log, car records, zakat amounts, QR code history, converter favorites and app settings) in local files (JSON) inside the app's private storage on your device.

This data never leaves your device through the app. We (the developer) have no access to it. If you use Backup, the app creates a backup file and you choose where to save or share it. What you do with that file (for example saving it to a cloud drive or sending it to someone) is under your control and subject to the policies of the service you choose. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the app's data from system settings, deletes this data permanently. 3. Internet access

The app makes only secure (HTTPS) GET requests to fetch public information:

These requests contain no personal data and no identifiers created by the app. As with any internet connection, these services can see technical information such as your IP address and a standard user-agent, under their own privacy policies. The downloaded rates and prices are cached on your device so the tools keep working offline.

4. Permissions and why they are used

Permissions are requested only when you use a feature that needs them. You can deny or revoke any permission in your device settings; only the related feature will stop working.

Not used by NotiTools: the app does not request access to all files on your device, does not read the list of apps installed on your device, and cannot uninstall apps. (These features belong to our separate file-manager app, Samt Files, which has its own privacy policy.)

Contacts: the app does not read your contacts. When a scanned QR code contains a contact card, the app hands it to your system contacts app so you can decide whether to save it.

5. Sharing and selling of data

We do not sell, rent, trade or share any personal data with anyone, because we do not collect it. When you choose to share something (for example a QR image, a ZIP file or a backup), the app passes it to the app or service you pick through the system share sheet.

6. Security

Your data is kept in the app's private storage, protected by your device's operating system security. Network requests use HTTPS (encrypted in transit). Password-protected ZIP files you create use the encryption you select (AES-256).

7. Data retention and deletion

Data is kept on your device until you delete it inside the app, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Since we do not hold any copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; you are in full control.

8. Children

NotiTools is a general-purpose utility app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Because we do not collect or process your personal data on our side, there is no data held by us to access, correct or export. You can view, edit, export (backup) and delete all of your data directly in the app.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
